DEACONS

"For those who have served well as deacons obtain for themselves a high standing and great confidence in the faith that is in Christ Jesus.”

-The apostle Paul, in 1 Timothy 3:13

The word “deacon” means “servant.”  In the church organization found in the New Testament, deacons are special servants assigned to lead particular tasks.  Our deacons are men who the congregation has found to meet God’s description for deacons in

1 Timothy 3:8-13, and who have accepted the task of leading ministries that help the work of the church.
